Primus Senior Living has created an elder-centric ecosystem to deliver bespoke services and conveniences to the seniors living at its properties. We have a robust process, state-of-the-art technology and passionate people to help us make sure the seniors at Primus Senior Living lead a stress-free life. From fun activities to nutritious meals and running errands to senior-friendly homes, the team at Primus Senior Living is dedicated to the seniors’ well being. During times like the ongoing pandemic, we continue to make sure that seniors are healthy and stress-free. We ensure the safety of the seniors is not compromised at any given point, which is why we have taken various steps to keep them healthy and safe. Here is how we have been taking care of the seniors at Primus Senior Living.
- Vaccination Drive: COVID-19 has affected people across all age groups, but the elderly are more vulnerable. Given their underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular diseases, diabetes or chronic respiratory diseases, the seniors are more likely to get affected. To avoid the seniors from getting exposed to the virus, we conducted an in-house vaccination drive. Qualified and experienced medical staff were on board to help us get all the seniors vaccinated. We also ensured all the seniors were completely fine and faced no medical issues post-vaccination.
- Regular Temperature Checks: We also check the temperature of all our staff at regular intervals throughout the day to ensure the maximum safety of our seniors. From our kitchen staff to the housekeeping and the security, everyone’s temperature is recorded from time to time.
- Hygiene: A clean place is a safe place, and that’s why we made it a point to have the housekeeping staff come in on alternate days. To ensure the guaranteed safety of the seniors, we have a pickup van arranged for the housekeeping staff. We have also installed a sink at the main gate, so as soon as the staff enters the premises, they can wash their hands before entering the building. The staff follows safety measures that include wearing gloves and face masks 24/7 on the premises.
- Concierge Services: The seniors at Primus Senior Living don’t have to step out of the premises at all. The concierge service team takes care of all their needs. Everything is bought and delivered to their doorstep. From grocery shopping to other essential items, the team ensures the seniors have everything they need to have a pleasant day.
- Proper Sanitization: We have made sure to leave no stone unturned. We ensure that every nook of the property is safe for the seniors, that’s why we regularly sanitize our properties. Starting from the groceries and other essential items that come into the premises, everything is sanitized at the main gate before being delivered to the seniors or taken into the kitchen. The vegetables and vessels are thoroughly washed before cooking as well. Common areas such as the dining area, lifts and gyms are sanitized too to keep the seniors safe.
- Social Distancing in Common Areas: At Primus Senior Living, we take care of the seniors mental and physical health. We don’t want them to be cooped up in their homes, feeling low. We encourage them to step out of their homes to have their meals in the dining area or workout in the gym, but maintaining a social distance is a must. In the dining area, only two seniors are allowed to sit and have their meals at a table.
Life for the elderly at Primus Senior Living hasn’t changed at all. The team is committed to making life for seniors as smooth and safe as possible. We have taken appropriate safety measures to ensure the seniors are healthy and not exposed to the virus. Everything is taken care of for the seniors at Primus Senior Living!
COVID19 is scary but as caretakers and seniors, we have to be cautious about what needs to be done. Living in a senior community reduces the risk of exposure. A community like Primus has 24*7 nurses and support staff in case any one of our seniors are in need of expert doctor assistance. Senior community living spaces, like Primus, are one of the safest places for the seniors to live, especially during such circumstances.

6 Bathroom Safety Tips For Seniors
Bathrooms can be a dangerous area especially when you start getting older. That's because bathroom accidents can be more fatal for seniors than younger people. Older adults are also more prone to bathroom mishaps because of their changing health conditions caused by ageing like declining eyesight, balance issues, etc. However, premium senior assisted living facilities, like Primus, come with geriatric-friendly living spaces to make the lives of seniors easier and effortless. Below are six bathroom safety tips that Primus takes seriously and you should also! 1. Anti-skid bathroom floors There are high chances for seniors to lose their grip or balance while coming out of the shower. That's why it is important to have anti-skid tiles for bathrooms used by elders. If not, you can also equip the floors with anti-skid mats. If going with anti-skid mats, make sure to install more than one, wherever there are chances of slipping. 2. Grab bars or handles It is important to install grab bars or handles in the right places to make them a safer place for seniors. As people age, they might need extra support to get up or sit down on toilet seats. Similarly, attaching a grab bar near the shower to grab on while they take a shower can give them a sense of security and safety. 3. Lighting Bathroom spaces must be illuminated with the right lighting solutions. For example, overhead lighting is a wrong choice for a bathroom as it doesnot light up the bathrooms uniformly and the shadows can cause problems. Bathrooms must have multiple lights and it would be extremely helpful for the seniors if the lights have motion sensors. 4. Toilet seating A raised toilet seat reduces the effort the seniors have to put in to sit and stand. Detachable raised toilet seats with arms are also available these days. For added safety, it is recommended to use toilet seats with arms or brackets. 5. Emergency phones Along with increasing safety and making the spaces senior-friendly, ensure there are provisions for seniors to contact someone in case of emergencies. Installing waterproof emergency phones in bathrooms will give them reassurance and a safe feeling. 6. Items must be accessible The provision to put the necessary items in a bathroom should be fixed in areas easily accessible to seniors. They shouldnot have to bend or stretch to get things and put them back. Accessibility must be a top priority while making the bathroom senior-friendly. Making living spaces senior-friendly is always good. But wouldnot it be better to get a home that meets all the needs of an older adult rather than making just your bathroom senior-friendly? If you think so too, Primus can be perfect for your loved ones. Primus is one of the top elderly care homes in Bangalore that is designed in a way that makes the lives of older adults hassle-free.
